10 Reasons to Update your Will

The only thing constant …in life …is change.  

The following list of life events will require a new will as opposed to changing an existing (old) will;

1       Divorce, separation or cohabitation with a new partner;

2       Children are adopted or born and you need to appoint new guardians;

3       The addition of stepchildren and/or grandchildren;

4       A named beneficiary in your will becomes ill, disabled or dies;

5       A change of executors, trustees, beneficiaries, or charities.

6       Your assets increase due to additional life insurance and/or an inheritance;

7       You close or start a business resulting in an increase or decrease your assets;

8       A move to another province or country;

9       You move to another province or country;

10     You acquire major assets in another province or country.
